The Ferry -- MV COHO

Leaving Victoria Inner Harbor

Entering The Strait -- Mtns of the U.S. in the background

The Michigan ... with Escorts

Port Angeles Breakwater

Today we returned to the U.S. We're not a bit too early, considering we are trying to follow the thermometer. It has been getting "pretty chilly" the last few nights on Vancouver Island ... so ... it's time we started heading south. We once said, "If the thermometer goes below 70 degrees F., it's time to head south." So ... we're heading south. We boarded the MV Coho Ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles WA this morning ... and arrived in the U.S. about noon. We're here on the Olympic Peninsula for a few days ... then we'll begin heading "down the coast".

One of the interesting events on the trip to Washington was the sighting of the Michigan ... the nuclear powered submarine. You'll see it in a pic on the site.

Hope you'll enjoy our pics as we take in the western coastal area of the U.S.
