This is not Batman

Just what every Aussie should be taking

We have arrived in our favorite city of Thailand, Chiang Mai with the reality starting to set in that we are on holidays.

Back tracking the past couple of days since leaving home, firstly starting the journey with our private vehicle hire from home to the Brisbane airport, the vehicle was supposed to be an SUV or small luxury van at best, what turned up at the door was a a stretch limmo,(the next thing I said to Mrs Wombat was "What's this costing us") Ron the chauffeur knocked on the door introduced himself, advised that as the company was heavily booked today they were pleased to offer a complimentary upgrade, he courteously took our bags we said our good buys to our fury four legged family and climbed in like royalty, there was at least one neighbor watching with great interest, we smiled gave a wave and said "Going on holidays". We have never had such a stress free run to the airport.

In fine Wombatnwife form, we were at the airport some 4 hours before our flight, time goes quick watching the planes and the world go by. Whilst watching the world go by we noticed an advert on the big screen that just needed investigating, "Essence of kangaroo", now one may ask what is this essence, is it smell or something greater, well some investigating in the shop revealed it is the improved vitality one can get from Kangaroo meat, clearly something I should bé takíng! Nothing like a good hop around the paddock I say.....

We boarded our flight to Singapore and took up our pre-planned seats (row of 2) and settled in for the ride. We enjoyed the next 7 1/2 hours watching movies drinking red wine and just generally enjoying the service that Singapore Airlines offers.

Arriving at Changi Airport with an all night lay over we put into action our plan for the night, this comprised a browse through the shops, pick up some authentic Singapore noodle dish, catch a movie and find the snooze lounge.

Saturday morning we rose early as Mrs Wombat had arranged the best treat for an overnight stay at an airport without spending any money. You see, the is a $20 voucher available as a special at the moment for selected Singapore Airline flights, we were entitled to this voucher which we redeemed on Friday night for use Saturday. So with voucher in hand we pop into Transit lounge and our $20 voucher bought us 2 wonderful hours in the lounge complete with shower facilities and breakfast. Now feeling clean and fed we boarded our next flight from Singapore to Chaing Mai Thailand.
