Well ... we've finally made it as far west as you can go in the continental U.S. Arrived at Kalaloch Beach area on the famous Hwy 101 for our first campsite perched right on the open ocean. It was windy when we arrived, so the wave action was pretty significant. We love to listen to the ocean ... so this first night was wonderful to experience in our private ocean view setting.

Visited another rain forest area today on the way here, including a giant old cedar tree. The old growth forests ... and rain forests ... have been one of the more impressive things to us ... we just don't have anything like it in Wisconsin.
