Montana Services RV Park, Carcross, Yukon.

Haines to Carcross

This morning I was thinking about going kayaking but Tom's back wasn't doing much better and the fog had rolled in so I wouldn't have been able to see the mountains very well anyway. I opted to take a walk around Haines instead to get some exercise and to get any last photos I might have missed. It turned out to be the best thing I could have done. I took some music along and had a great walk. I got all kinds of photos of places we hadn't made it to yet and had worship time and time to think while I was gone. When I got back I felt refreshed.

We did our school/work routine. Tom's back is doing a little bit better but he needs to give it more rest. We ended up getting on the road between 3:00 and 3:30. We stopped at the Eagle Reserve on the way out of town. We didn't see any eagles as it was still a little early for them but we had the chance to read a lot of great information on them.

We got into Carcross a little after 10:00. The campground had just closed so she told us to go ahead and find a spot then take care of things in the morning. The campground was pretty empty and there were lots of pull-thrus so that was pretty easy. We plugged in in the rain and hit the hay for the night.
