Up and packed. Wandered up the streets of Montmarte a wonderful area of Paris. Found the home of Picasso, along to Place de Terte where the cafes restaurants and artists congregate. We enjoyed moving around the different artists and watching their work. Got nabbed by a cartoonist, barted and thought why not. He sketched all four boys (look pretty similar really) but the boys loved being drawn.
back to the hotel. Its been very nice. Our taxi was on time and we squeezed in for a ride through the streets of Paris to Orly airport where we picked up "the Beast". A brand new 8 seater Pueageot.
The Peugeot is a big wagon, left hand drive and bugger not automatic. So with a 1 minute practice in the carpark we were off onto the freeways of Paris. Just about took out a car within 500m of the Peogeot dealer. Decided to head for Versaille to get oput of all the traffic but that was probably busier. Our relationship with the GPS Marioe Antoinette was rapidly declining ( blame the machine!) the guillotine was nearing. After a while we got on the road for Blois in the Loire Valley. Good travel on the Freeway and we arrived in Amboise to a hotel in the ville for the night.
