Tschumper's Alaskan Journey 2007 travel blog

Mt Peak

Tok, AK was a must stop at the Sourdough RV campground. They have nightly singing, pancake toss and roasted marshmallows. Once again we resumed friendships with follow travelers. We leave the AK Hwy at the Tok cutoff taking the Glenn Highway. Here we follow a 139 mile National Scenic Byway with awesome views of Matanuska Glacier

as close as a 20 min. walk from the highway. The snow capped glacial mountains provide a 180 degree view with heights in the 19,000 ft. mark.
