Today we took another road into the northern area of the Black Forest heading to the town of Bad Wildbad. Our road took us again through the forest but also gave views of the alpine slopes. We stopped for morning coffee at the small town of Bad Herrenalb a lovely town with a lovely arboretum garden with some unusual trees one of which was called the Tulip tree and we could see why. There was also an interesting old cloister area to the town so our coffee break was much extended.

We continued on to Bad Wildbad and decided we would head up to the Sommerberg above the town where we enjoyed a walk around the summit through the forest. We headed back down into the town and trying to find the centre was a nightmare due to diversions because of road works. Trying to find where to go was impossible so we gave up and headed back.
