Dave and Jeanne's Motorcycle trip to the four corners of USA with side trip to Cabot Trail Nova Scotia CA travel blog

It's time to say goodbye and as Willie Nelson says " On the road again". Directions out of Lake Stevens was dictated by weather, if it was clear we were going to Mount Rainier and if it wasn't we were island hopping over to Hwy 101. Woke up to a beautiful day with blue skies, so we headed out to the back roads to Mount Rainer. Good to be back on the road again after 9 days down with the trailer repair. The drive to Mount Rainier did not disappoint, as the ride gave plenty to see. Once in the state park we went up to Sunrise vistor center, sitting at 6,400 feet, it is the highest point that can be reached by vehicle. On the climb up there is spectacular views with sheer drop offs that Jeanne just loved. There is a look out point before the vistor center with panoramic views that make you feel like your sitting on top of the world. Once at the vistor center it was really cool to see all the back backers of all ages coming in and leaving on their hikes. Lord willing and creeks don't rise I will be back to do some hiking. Fell in love with this place.
