Buffalo Pound Lake

Not a very nice day – cloudy & a forecast high of 12C so this morning I was happy to stay in my warm motorhome & play with my new radio. I think I’ve worked out what most of the buttons mean & also got rid of a few things that were annoying me with my GPS, so quite a productive morning.

This area was used by the First Nations people to corral buffalo, hence the name. They have a small herd of Bison in a paddock but the ranger said the road was very rough so I gave that a miss & went for a walk around the lake instead.

I've pretty much got the place to myself. There are 2 other vehicles in the campground but I haven't seen any people in either of them. There's plenty of staff around though, getting ready for the season. I'm told that all the Provincial Parks officially open tomorrow at noon.
