After the long flight to Tokyo (11hrs) and then onto Singapore (8hrs) we finally made it to Singapore. The jetlag has not been too bad as Singapore is 15 hours ahead. We arrived at 11pm last night and went right to sleep. We were going to stay in the Airport again but decided to just go get a hotel. We are staying at a small hotel in the district of Little India.

Today we went to Chinatown and went to the Chinese Heritage Center. It was a cool little musuem showing what life was like for the Chinese immagrating here in the early 1900's. It was pretty interesting. Times were very hard then.

We decided to buy a new video camera here after getting many strange looks when using our ancient 1995 camera. After 5 hours of shopping in many different shops we finally decided on one. Its hard to spend that much money when you know you could travel on that much for about a month. But it is way cheaper than buying one at home.

Tonight we are going back down to the Singapore River to take a "Bumboat" river cruise instead of going to the Oasis Concert. Especially after spending all the dough on the camera.

Well, thats all for now we will post again before heading off to Malaysia.
