On the way to James Bond Island

Floating Village

Rosa and Jordy decided to join us in Krabi as well (or maybe we decided to join them...) We were meant to get on a boat at 9:30 am -- but given our sorry states the night before, we missed it. Oh well, there was another one listed on the ticket for 1:30. Showed up at the pier at 1 and they told us that boat only runs in high season. We had to wait til 4pm. Not too bad when you're in the sun on a beautiful island. Bad when it's boiling hot and you both have killer hangovers! To pass the time, L and I got Thai massages. We managed to catch the 4:00 boat and were just about feeling normal when the boat arrived in Krabi. They followed us to Krabi as well!

For the next 3 days, we pretty much relaxed.

We did give in and hire motorbikes for 2 days. We drive all around the town, to the beach and back again. Of course a road trip isn't complete without a flat tire. No, not on our bike -- on Jordy's. We were once again fortunate to be close to a repair shop. So 100bhat ($2.50) and 30 mintues later, they had a new tire and were ready to go again!

Next day we took the bikes south. 90k drive to the docks. From there we took a scenic boat trip to James Bond Island (so called becuase they filmed a scene from The Man with the Golden Gun there) and had lunch at a floating village. The ride home was especially fun as it started pouring only a few minutes into the journey and we were forced to ride for the next 45 mins in the rain. All part of the adventure!

The next day we parted ways from our Rosa and Jordy as they were staying in Thailand indefinitely to become dive masters (don't think we weren't tempted to join them... ) But we had to move on to other countries!!!
