McLeod Family Trip 2010 travel blog

Saturday 29 May

Pack up at Chatillon in the morning. Christian had a big hangover so was feeling it. Had lovely lunch together before making our farewells. It was a sad time as we had had a nice couple of weeks together. Amazing after twenty years how it felt like yesterday. They also really enjoyed the boys.

We were off. A short stop at Saillon another Medieval village next to the river Domme and across the Rhone which is huge and onto Chomerac. Our GPS Marie Antoinette got us to the bridge where we got out to look around. Then we looked up to a lot of cheering and it was Peck and Nats up high on the other side of the bridge. It was a nice reunion with them. They were having a celebration for some friends for their 1st birthday. So we joined in. Wonderful setting high on the rocky hill looking across to Chomearc. Nice house m,ade of rocks and tile. Thye boys were soon in the pool and off with Hugo to play Petanc. We got changed and folled Peck across his short cuts along the stream to the other side Medieval vuillage to friends house to watch the French Club Final. Perpignan v Clemont. Good game. Enjoyed the rugby. A nice BBQ on the deck followed by Guitars and Peck and Fleur singing. A highlight was Hugo singing away. What a voice! The last song kept coming. We finished up in the early morning hours.
