Jerry and I have been amazed at the awesome shops in Door County. You have 18 villages to choose from. Every one of the villages has a shopping district or two offering an eclectic array of interesting and unique merchandise. From stylish apparel, jewelry and accessories to kitchenware, unusual holiday gifts, and more. Door County is a shopper’s paradise.
There’s also a ton of goods from locally produced ciders, to jam, jelly, fudge and world-famous olive oil. Jerry bought a jar of jalapeno jam that is the BEST we have ever tasted, so is the cherry pie, the pure and natural cherry juice, the cider donuts and more. :-) It would be easy to gain a few pounds in this county.
They also have what they call “Farm Markets” all over the county. I am adding pictures from a couple of them and from one of the regular weekend markets we visited. Did I mention homemade breads too? These people know how to cook, their recipes go back for generations on this peninsula. We are going to miss all the specialties when we leave. I hope you enjoy all the shopping pictures as much as we did shopping. Check back later for more from Door County.
