|We arrived back in Bishkek where we headed straight for the Kazakhstan Embassy. We were delighted to find that we did not have to fight our way in. In fact we were in and out in 5 minutes and it was all very civilised!
Then it was in to town to the Metro bar, to meet up with Sue and Gearge as well as another overland group who are also stuck in Kyrgyzstan, for a few pints and some western food which was really nice after all the cream teas and plov of late.
Our last day in Bishkek was spent at the post office and internet although we also made sure we had some shashlyk before we left, oh and of course Heidi did some last minute shopping for felt products.
Overall we can safely say that Kyrgyzstan is a great place. The people are friendly and the scenery is breathtaking. This place will be full of tourists in years to come and we are gald we have seen it before the hordes arrived.
We are now off to Kazakhstan to meet Borat.................
