Trevor explaining something to Dad

Judie, Joy, Tobie and 'nameless'

Jenna, Kim and 'miss nameless', the Schmiedt's Welsh Corgi (she'll soon have...

Tobie is now a Poodle mix, apparently not a Maltese mix

We have praised and glorified our God, received and given gifts, eaten until we could eat no more, visited until we (well, Judie) could visit no more, and now, we are pooped!!

Christmas began with a Christmas Eve service we attended with Kim, Galen and the kids. We praised Him thro very joyous singing in the Community church in Galt. Then, to the Schmiedt's house for a prime rib dinner with Galen's Mom and Step-dad and their good friends. Ed and I were responsible for the squash dish, and it blended well with the salad and Prime Rib. We all ate well and certainly, no one left hungry.

As we drove up the road Christmas morning, what do we see but two grand kids riding new bikes!! Very cute, one 'grown-up' bike and one little pink bike with training wheels. Also a basketball hoop for practice, Galen was picking Jenna up so she could slam-dunk the ball (her own, pink basketball.) We learned that Jenna's one fear in life is....heights, even when Dad is holding her. She did fine, no fear slows that girl down!

Then time for German pastry, gift opening and a quick nap for Judie before we left for the elder Schmiedt home.

There we had great food, a big group of folks to visit and more gifts!! Galen's Dad is ill with a sinus inflammation and was happy to hang out in the recliner most of the time. After a nice visit and sharing Danna's great food, we trekked (next door) to visit with the extended Schmiedt family. Another tasty meal and gift opening to entertain us. We are very comfortable with all of the Schmiedt family and enjoy being included in their family gatherings.

We hope that your Christmas was as blessed as ours, and we look forward to the New Year!
