Wyoming scene

We spent last night in Evanston WY, just barely over the border, and woke this morning to cool temperatures for the first time in a long time. We loved it!!

Yesterday morning we visited with our neighbor in the Elko park. Turns out, he is a retired dentist from Cottonwood, CA!! He lives on Gaspoint, runs cows, and knew several peoople we know!! How small is this world, huh?

We travelled I-80 across the last 100 miles of Nevada and the entire 200 miles of Utah. We had lunch in Wendover at the Utah border and did a little work while having lunch.

We then went across the salt flats and along the Great Salt Lake. There was activity at Bonneville Salt Flats which we thought looked like setting up for a high speed run.

We took an hour afternoon nap in a rest stop This proved to be bad timing, as we then traveled through Salt Lake City at rush hour with construction going on. Really not fun with a truck and trailer. But, the nap was great, will try that again along the way.

From Salt Lake City I-80 climbs to Park City with views of the ski area and a Olympic training ski jump. This was the first steep grade since the Sierra's. We pushed on to Evanston, Wy. There didn't seem to be many RV parks in the area along I-80 in eastern Utah. We lost an hour going into the Mountain Time Zone so we actually arrived at 6:30 local time.

Nice dinner, a little work for Ed, and to bed...
