Tampa RV Super Show

Tom had originally taken today off but with the weather that was predicted, we decided to skip trying to go to Disney and he would go ahead and work. Our neighbor came over and gave us tickets to the Tampa RV Show not too long after that so Tom is working today and Jonathan and I went to the RV show to check things out.

We got to the Tampa State Fairgrounds around 10:30 and parked. The first RVs in the door were the Prevost Motor Homes. Prices ranged anywhere between 1 to 2 million dollars. Well, Jonathan wanted to see those! We took off our shoes, (those were the rules) then headed through a couple of them. They are NASCAR's official transports.

The books at the door were supposed to have maps in the back of them. We realized later that many people had found the map, pulled it out, then put the rest of the book back on the table and we got one of those. We found a man who was with one of the dealerships who traded with us later so that was nice.

I explained to Jonathan that there were specific ones that I wanted to look at because that manufacturer made a model with bunks and I'd like to see it while we were at the show so he was great about staying focused and not wanting to go in EVERY SINGLE RV. We did stop for mimes, funnel cakes and such though. :-)

We looked through several models. Found a couple with bunks. I liked the Kountry Star model better than the Gulf Stream just because of the bathroom lay out. I really liked the two bedroom Teton 5th wheel. No truck to pull it with right now though so maybe some day. It was beautiful but cost about as much as our house did.

We headed back to the Yukon around 5:30 after a couple more fun candid camera moments and then drove home with one stop at Walmart for a few grocery odds and ends. A fun day!
