Last one, back home by the fire...


Today was a very exciting day for us. We have always want to rent a pontoon boat and go out on the lake. We decided to rent one for Lake Granby, the cost to rent the boat for Lake Granby was half the price for renting the same boat for Grand Lake, we chose the half price deal of $130 for four whole hours on the lake. We had a blast riding around and exploring the lake.

The boat also had a fish finder, we could look and see fish below us but I don’t think we had the right fishing equipment. The lady that rented the boat told us to use worms and fish about 20 feet deep. We didn’t catch a single fish. we all had dreams of stocking our freezer with fresh trout. We spoke with a real pro at fishing later and he told us we should have been using cut up fish for bait and we should have fished deeper. Anyway, we all had a blast on the water and enjoyed our day.

After fishing we all went to cool little snack bar on the lake for burgers and ice cream. This places makes home made ice cream and boy is it delicious. I had the cheesecake ice cream with raspberries. It was awesome. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Check back later for more from our Rocky Mountain adventures.
