Most of Colorado is under a winter storm warning. Pictures are from the overnight snow. Predictions are for snow the remainder of the day and into tomorrow. Tortuga will sit this one out.
Yesterday we spent the day in Denver and spent a bit of time at the Denver Art Museum(DAM). The structure is meant to depict the mountains with many peaks and an irregular roof line. (We took the bus into town and in our haste to catch the correct bus, I forgot the camera, hence, no pictures of the city.) We also wandered the 16th Ave Mall before catching the bus to Rei, the flagship store.
Just after we returned to the RV park, the rain/snow began.
So we have decided to settle in for the day with coffee and tea to keep us warm, the heater to create a cozy home, lots of books to read, and time to spend connecting with friends via phone and e-mail. Perhaps we will venture out and romp in the snow, but we novice snowbirds did not bring boots or heavy parkas and the Keen sandals Lois just bought at REI will not make the grade.
And sadly: THE ROAD KILL COUNT
