Rob and Syd's Western Canada and Alaska trip 2012 travel blog

Anoither beautiful sunset, probably the last we'll see as we move tomorrow.

Walking on the beach, we found this young eagle eating scraps washed...

This one let me real close

Day 68, Sunday, July 1, 2012

We just hung out around the campground today. It was windy and colder. We went for a walk on the beach but mostly stayed inside and watched the water. The older hillbilly gave us another look at his bare backside when he put his overalls back on for the day. A lot of people brought their ATV’s out for the weekend and were running fast up and down the beach at all hours, until late at night and then again early in the morning. Camping etiquette has totally gone out the window. A few idiots can certainly ruin it for the rest of us. I watched one more sunset over the water at 11:23 pm. There are still just a handful of eagles around. Maybe they knew the idiots were coming out for the weekend and disappeared. I don’t blame them. We are leaving here in the morning too.
