|Bus supposed to leave coming from Papito didn't arr til 9:45am, so 6 hrs on mostly Forest Service,l to 1 1/2 lane, rocky, bumpy roads was a long time though very scenic (only last 30 km = 45 minutes paved). Mtn pastures are steep, most for cow/cattle - Holsteins - grazing...but saw plots of veggies, strawberries, and when not in pasture, coffee mixed w/ banana and other fruit trees. One plot of coffee was interplanted w/ beans of all things. Got back to HostelTrail, our ON place, just in time before rains came.
This is a festival wknd (plus Monday & Tues they say) so lots of places closed, Colombians gone to countryside. Luckily we found Restaurant Italiano Pizzeria open and could get dinner - seemingly only place open. Set plate special $4 US = natural fruit juice, salad, rice, chicken, pasta, AND dessert!
