Arrived at Flag City RV in Lodi Sunday afternoon and went to visit the Hill’s in their pool. The weather has definitely warmed up and the pool water was appreciated by Ed and Judie. Tobie and Joy showed their appreciation for the grass to roll in and the play time with Snuggles and Cody.

Monday brought a nice day relaxing with Kim, Trevor and Jenna at their house. The kids had Gymnastics and Swimming lessons in the afternoon which gave Grandma Judie some photo ops during practice. Had a nice salmon dinner between the two events, so that filled out the day.

Tuesday we moved to the Lighthouse RV Park and Marina in the Sacramento Delta. They have a nice pool and fun 18-hole miniature golf course. We would definitely return to the Lighthouse again for summer fun. Ed settled the trailer and headed to Bakersfield for a business meeting and a little consulting. He returned to the Delta Wednesday evening after a full day.

Trevor and Jenna camped with us Wednesday night. We golfed and swam to our heart’s content on Thursday until Kim picked them up for swimming lessons. Grandpa and Grandma rested up Thursday evening.

The weekend was spent with the Schmiedts camping next to us, more golfing, swimming, a trip to the train store for Trevor and Grandpa and a lovely bar-b-q on Saturday night. We appreciated the Hills coming out and joining us for the B-B-Q. Kathy always makes really tasty desserts and it was enjoyed by all.

Ed has now given Trevor his 60 year-old train track and cars however the engine and transformer were non-repairable, so they replaced them at the train store. Trains are something that Trevor and Grandpa both enjoy.

After a great breakfast overlooking the river, we all packed up and headed back to Redding.

Our time in Redding has been preparing for our trip to Maine. We plan to leave on the 15th for parts East. Carpets and chair cleaned, check. Final Dental visit for Ed, check. Podiatrist and MD visit for Judie, check. Foot Surgery scheduled for Judie in December, check. Two delightful dinners and memories with friends we don’t get to see often, check. Yep, we’re almost ready.

When we return to Redding the middle of November, it will be for at least two months for Judie’s foot surgery and post-op care.
