Following In Your Footsteps |

On the 9th September 1995 my dad began the epic journey above ground, by train from Kemble to Kowloon. On 23rd September, just over 21 years later.... I began my similar journey, following in his footsteps.
My name is Becky and earlier this year I resigned from my job in Finance to take a bit of time out for myself and see a bit more of the world. I will be spending the next 6 months initially travelling above ground from London to Beijing and then spending some time working my way through Asia.
The trip is something I have been planning for a while... losing dad in 2013 and reading his journal, particularly as he talked to my sisters and I in it at the end ensuring we took the time to explore the world reiterated to me my need and want to have experiences like that myself. Now, 3 years on, my journey has begun.
This really will be a record for me of all the places I've been and experiences I've had - hopefully they will be interesting to you as well.
