2011-2013 - Ashore too long....

Bill travel blog
Welcome to the continuation of our trip journal that takes up in the Summer of 2011. We skipped the trip south that winter and spent our time with grands and hobbies instead. This journal was started in 2004 when we first began cruising on our 43 foot trawler, Chapter III. Most summers find us headed north to Maine and Canada, as is the case with in 2011. In the new year we returned to Florida and the Bahamas when the weather turned cold in Solomons. As you will see in the following pages, we are far less schedule driven today than was the case seven years ago. But, that probably has more to do with the wisdom of advancing age...and aching bones. The highlight of our 2012 Winter was the gathering of some 13 family members at Atlantis where some stayed ashore in the timeshare, some on the boat and all to enjoy the water and sun during the last week in February. In November 2012, we headed south for somewhere that is warm.
