Some lookout somewhere between Napier and Gisborne

All the dots are trees that have been hand planted!

Possibly one of my favourite photos ever!

We hopped back onto the bus and it wasn't long until our next stop - a winery in Hawke's Bay. We picked up 'provisions' for the next few days. We then headed towards Gisborne. We were staying in a place just outside of the town - Surf Chalet Lodge, right on Wainui beach. 'It was a wicked little place'. Great atmosphere and the people were lovely.

We went for a walk along the beach in preparation for our barbeque. Cathy and I had the largest steak known to man. We each had an equivalent to a pound of meat. Yann didn't believe that we could polish it off but we showed him!

Afterwards we chilled out round the table outside enjoying the views, atmosphere, wine, company and craic. It was a great night.

Early to bed though as we had surfing lesson early next morning.
