Paul & Jan's Fulltime Adventure travel blog

We got up fairly early and got ready to head south to Lake of the Ozarks. We have an appointment tommorrow to have a DataStorm Satellite system mounted on top of the 5th wheel. This will allow us to have internet access where ever we park our home, as long as we have a clear view of the southern sky. It will also serve as a DirecTV dish, so we will have internet and TV at the push of a button! No setting up and fighting with a portable dish, just push a button and you are on. Life is rough!

The installation took about 5 hours. Afterward we found a nice campground called Lazy River RV Resort. It was located right on the banks of the Osage river. We planned to stay for a few days to make sure our newly installed toy would work the way it should. The first time we turned it on, it could not find the satellite. After several tries, we called the installer and he agreed to come out later and look at it. At about 8:30 that evening, he showed up and installed a software update, which seemed to correct the problem. It has been working flawlessy since.

The next couple of days the weather was kinda gloomy, rain and wind and unseasonably cool weather. We went to see the movie, "RV", which we thoroughly enjoyed. We did a little sight-seeing around the area, and had campfires in the evening.

Then next day we would be leaving the Lake area to head back north.

Come back soon...........
