Sandhill Cranes are pets or mascots of the park!

Just thought I'd let you know whereabouts I am now. Bushnell is about 60 miles due west of Orlando. I have been taking it easy and not doing much.

When I took a ride today, I saw my first Florida orange groves and the trunks are not painted white like the orange trees in Phoenix. This area is flat and sandy, but there are lots of large oak trees with moss hanging from the branches, lots of pine trees like what is found in Georgia, and lots of dairy and beef farms. The palm trees are here but not prevalent.

The weather today got up to the 80's and a thunderstorm is predicted in the middle of the night - a pineapple express they call these fronts that come across the gulf.

The campground belongs to members of Escapees and as you can see, I have a site on an end row with no neighbor on the side of me. If I did, their exit door would face me. They have nice campgrounds and the cost is cheaper than most places I have found, even at half off because of another camp club I belong to.
