Alaska Team 2006 travel blog

Today was another travel day as we spent five-hours on a return drive to Mae Sot and re-located into the Central Mae Sot Hills Hotel. We truly traveled in style, though, as Partners had arranged for a fifteen-passenger van with a driver to accompany us. The van was quite fancy with comfortable seats and a TV! Gene, our driver, had a great personality, and kept us in stitches with his sense of humor.

We enjoyed a quick tour of down-town Mae Sot, and saw the Friendship Bridge leading to Burma as we wandered through the marketplace.

Later, we enjoyed a great dinner with the Partners staff, and then prepared our bags and gear for the next day's plans --- a trip to an orphanage!
