Our Home at the Texan Mobile Park in McAllen

An Orange Tree Right Out the Front Door. Wow!

Huge Orange Tree Across the Street

Large Cactus Plant in Santa Anna Wildlife Refuge

Wow, what a great place this is! Where else can you go out your front door & pick a nice, juicy orange right off the tree? The neighbor across the street has a big orange tree in her yard & she said we could have all we want. Wow, that beats paying for them at the store!

We came to Texas to escape the ice & snow & the cold of Missouri. Although we haven't had any ice & snow, we have had plenty of cool & rainy days since we arrived. Everyone here tells us that there have been more cool & rainy days this winter than they have had for 20 years. Just our luck! We can't complain though. It's still better than what they are getting up North, just ask our kids.

We can't get used to driving around & seeing the huge orange & grapefruit orchards, cabbage & onion fields, along with many other vegtables. Sugar cane is also a big crop down here. There are also alot of bird & wildlife preserves in the area. Lots of places to see & things to do. It's hard to cover everything, but we'll try!

Keep on coming back....
