|Mui Ne...miles of beaches, mountains of sand dunes, thousands of fishing boats and the constant smell of fish sauce..its got it all! Mui Ne was totally beautiful, and had a great beach...Matt and I were both wishing we were rich, because it is one of South East Asia's best spots for kiteboarding, but alas, our funds just can't allow for it...we decided we are going to save the money we would have spent there and buy surf boards when we get to Indonesia...
Spent a couple of days on the beach, and then rented a scooter to explore the nearby sand dunes...the minute we get to the dunes, a young 8 year old grabs us, and gives us a thin sheet of plastic, then leads us up the huge mountains of sand. He takes us to the steepest dune then points down..."you go now"...It was really fun, but the heat was unbelievable, and after sliding down we both thought our feet were going to burst into flames on the climb back up!
We stayed at a great guesthouse across from the beach, where we both made a new best friend...a little puppy named Wingo, who is super cute now, but when he grows up will look like the biggest gremlin...great little guy, but quite the nipper (watch out for those puppy teeth!)
Our last day in Mui Ne, we discovered an amazing restaurant, with Canadian style portions...felt so good to eat a decent sized meal, (Matt swears he's just "eating to survive" here!) especially when 5 plates of food and drinks costs less than 5$!
Time is running out for us in Vietnam, so three days in Mui Ne was enough...on to Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnams biggest!
