Alaska Team 2006 travel blog

Today was one of the longest drives I think we have had yet, and we were very thankful for the air-conditioned van and paved roads. As convoys (our van and one truck) travel slower that expected, we arrived at the hostel (boarding school) later than anticipated and after dark. The school was a cluster of cement buildings, and the students were holding a worship service in an auditorium as we arrived.

We were very tired from the long journey, but were able to regroup quickly. We introduced ourselves with our globe and Alaskan placemats, and then performed a few drama skits which were a big hit with the young teen crowd. Then we played a few games with a giant parachute and beach balls (which we left them as a gift).

Once again we made more friends, and snapped lots of photos. Then it was back into the van for another long drive back to Chiang Mai.
