|Checked out Olympic Nat'l Park today. Took the Hurricane Ridge Road up from Port Angeles ... 17 miles ... over 5000 ft elevation rise. It was cloudy and cool. The temp went down over 20 degrees on the trip up. It was 34 degrees F. when we got to the Visitor Center at the top of the drive. It was obviously snowing in the higher elevations ... we could not see Mt Olympus clearly ... but you can see by the pics it was high and in the weather.
On our return to Port Angeles we decided to go down to the harbor area to check things out. We discovered a Light HydroPlane Race happening in the inner harbor ... nationally televised. I've seen these races on TV on ocassion, but never in person ... so it was a fun experience.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
