Sol Duc Creek

From previous postings, you have learned that we enjoy mineral hot springs. Well ... when we saw there was a hot springs resort here in Olympic Nat'l Park, we couldn't resist. We spent a couple of days here ... enjoying the hot springs, touring the rain forest, witnessing our first ever salmon run. (You have to look real close on the salmon picture ... it was really hard to catch them "in the air" ... but she's there if you look hard enough.)

The falls was powerful ... not large, but powerful ... lots of new water to feed the falls. It rained most of the time we were here ... and it was quite cool ... so the hot springs dips we took were welcomed.

On our way to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, we visited another old growth forest near Crescent Lake ... a few pics are included.
