Today we took a trip up into the Napa Valley ... the famous vineyard/winery area here in the northern part of Central Valley. The colors were beautiful. Most of the vines have turned a deep gold color, so the valley seems to glisten in gold.
We visited the St Supery Winery ... did the tour, tasted some of the wine, enjoyed the history and wine-making lessons.
The US is the fourth largest producer ... and the fourth largest consumer of wine in the world ... and a lot of it is made here in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Bob suggested the local high school probably is nicknamed "The Winos" ... Bonnie didn't agree ... but she humored Bob anyway.
Beautiful area ... lots of people ... way too high priced for our blood ... but understandably a favorite place for people to enjoy life. I'm not sure how they can enjoy it with all the traffic, but the territory is very inviting.
