After all our stenuous animal watching, we decided to spend this afternoon visiting the hot springs at Tabay, just outside Merida. We'd been told that if we passed the 2 public sets of pools, we'd eventually get to a small natral pool in the forest - so we set off to find it. Two hours of uphill walking (and lots of Darius complaining!) later, we gave up and made our way back to the first, easy-to-find pool! It was the end of the day by then, so it was quiet, and the water was lovely and warm; plus we felt we deserved it after our walk! We finished our relaxing day off with pizza and pasta with Philipp (a German guy studying in Merida, who we'd met at Angel falls).
