Anyone for a fried mini-egg?

Heidi in her second home- the market

Our flight from Japan to Nepal had to take us through Bangkok and as we like the city (we've been here a couple of times before), we thought we would have a short stay over. This would give Heidi time to catch up on all the shopping she missed out on in Japan (too expensive) and me time to catch up on some cheap beer.

What I didn't realise is that there would be a gym at the hotel and that Heidi would drag me there a few times - under the pretence that it would be good training for our forthcoming trek up some mountains in Nepal. I'm not so sure that having every muscle in your body ache is such good preparation!

Anyway not much to tell about our time here - it was basically spent shopping in the markets, eating curries (they even had green curries at the brilliant buffet breakfast at our hotel!) and drinking Chang or Singha beer (more expensive than on our last visit at $2.5 - 3 USD for a large bottle (or 65 cents for a small can from the shop).

Anyway - a nice relaxing time was had and now it is off for some hard work trekking.
