Really cool old home in Stockbridge

A classic New England fall setting

On Wednesday, we drove from Copake, NY to Brattleboro, VT. Along the way, Great Barrington and Stockbridge were beautiful, little towns in The Berkshires in western Massachusetts.

We spent most of Thursday at a nearby rv dealer; they diagnosed and repaired our satellite tv system … not the most fun but it was a mostly rainy day anyway.

On Friday, we made a scenic loop drive to see the fall foliage colors and some of the small towns of Vermont; Woodstock was really nice. Also, we tried to check out Hanover, MA and Dartmouth College, but the traffic/parking problems were incredibly bad for a small town.

Saturday’s college football was fun. The Buckeyes whipped Michigan State 45-7 setting up a huge game next week against Pennsylvania State.

On Sunday, we went for a nice run at Wantastiquet Mountain Park on a great trail along the Connecticut River.

Then, on Monday, we drove another scenic loop through more fall foliage and great small towns. We were especially impressed by Manchester, VT.
