Fins and tails swirling and flapping
The sturgeon are spawning in the Wolf River. These giant fish(5-6 feet long) use the rocks along the shore as spawning beds. The females bang up against the rocks to assist in the dropping of the eggs and the males swim in the midst of all this activity to fertile the dropping eggs. It is quite the show of flapping tails and fins as these ancient giants continue the cycle of life.
