|Once in a while you can get shone the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right...Bula! I'm in Waya Lailai Resort (wayalailairesort.com) in the Yasawa Group of Islands in Fiji. I spent a few days on Bounty Island before heading here and the islands just keep getting better. I no longer have access to hot showers and they only have electricity available between 6 PM and 10 PM and I have to eat whatever they serve me, but I have never been in a nicer place. Today I swam with and fed White Tipped Sharks and actually held on to one for a ride. Awesome. On Sunday the villagers invited us to join them at their church service and a group of us travelers were formed into a choir and sang Amazing Grace to the whole village. They were polite and even clapped for us. All Fijians sing and their choir was outstanding. Everywhere I go they are singing and playing guitar. It may have something to do with the Kava Ceremonies they are always having? So far the highlights of my adventure have been meeting the local Fijians and meeting travelers from all over the world, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Czech Republic, Holland, Norway, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and even Seaside Park, New Jersey to name a few. Way cool. Lots of great conversations and tons of laughter. I head out tomorrow continuing north further into the Yasawa's. Cold showers or not, I do need to find a place to buy a bar of soap!
