Mike & I At Dive Tutukaka

Sometimes we visit your country and live in your home.... 9 weeks, 15 flights, 6 countries, 19 islands, 33 scuba dives, 23 hotels, and a few too many cold showers along the way. I arrived in Auckland, New Zealand yesterday. Some fantastic people, Mike and Gaynor, that I met in Fiji greeted me at the Airport and invited me into their home. I had my first home cooked meal since leaving San Diego and was even able to do a much needed load of laundry! (not my first since leaving San Diego, but close!) Mike had gone out of his way and did some research and had a map of New Zealand laid out with suggested driving/touring routes, popular dive sites, and highlights of NZ all mapped out for me. Incredible! I am looking forward to exploring this amazing country, especially if the people turn out to be even half as nice as Mike and Gaynor. I go to pick up my "Spaceship" (see www.spaceshipsrentals.co.nz) today and that will be my "Home" for the next 81 days. Wish me luck. It has been a long time since I've lived out of a car! I have absolutely no idea where I am heading first, but I'll figure it out. To be continued.... My love to all, Frank
