The Mountain View C.G in Dixfield is just east of Rumford ME. The short term RV spots are in a large grass field and we are one of only a few rigs in the area. The couple that own the park are very nice and the facilities are very good. They have 30 amp connections but the outside temperature does not require both air conditioners to run. The temperatures have been in the high 80’s and the humidity high but not unbearable. It has been very quiet in the park and with the open field we have been able to let the dogs run loose some of the time.

Monday we had a quiet morning and Judie was able to get the laundry completed even though she was 2nd in line (there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers). Ed got a couple of jobs completed at the trailer that were needed. In the afternoon we made a visit to the vet in Rumford for Joy. After a shot and some meds she is on the road to recovery from her stomach issues.

Tuesday we made a trip to explore the area. We went north to Rangeley and looped back through Rumford. The lakes around Rangeley were interesting with the parks and marina. The docks at Rangeley had sea planes parked with the boats. We visited a few shops along the lake and took a walk with the dogs in the State Park. Overall a nice afternoon drive and back for an evening at the trailer in the nice weather.

Wednesday was just a ‘kick back day’ when we never even started the truck. We worked on the trip journal, going through the pictures and catching up for the last few days. A nap in the afternoon and a dip in the pool before dinner was a perfect ending to the day. We enjoyed sitting outside most of the evening in almost perfect weather. Thursday will be pack up day and travel to Abbot Village for our next 5 days.
