A long but very pleasant day journeying through the Cotswolds today. Starting at Minster Lovell and Burford before heading to Northleach for a surprisingly good pub lunch (initially place a bit off putting, mainly due to some dodgy looking clientelle out the front) and then Bourton-on- water, the Slaughters and a few lovely places more. Favourite place was probably Broadway but needs more of an explore as reached there only at the end of the day. The sandstone here was a very rich colour with the main street leading up into the lovely and lush green hills. We both managed to buy something from the Christmas shop there though! Good weather for the most part thankfully and all good with the hire car. We also didn't strike too heavy a day for tourists, although definitely a good number at some of the key destinations.
I also had another explore of Oxford ths morning to get some photos in the early morning sunshine. Still haven't got the body clock thing sorted as 5am seems to be time to wake up so may as well get on out there.
Tomorrow is the start of week two and we leave Oxford for Salisbury via a visit with Kirsty in Henley (and a few other places Mum doesn't know about yet).
Must get my photos sorted and downloaded ASAP as am running out of room on card. :-) Mum is getting pretty whizzy on her camera also; anyone up for a photo evening when we gt back? Just kidding.
