5/1 – 5/4

We drove 372 miles in two days on our way to Redlands, California (SR95, I-10). The first day we traveled with David and Dianne to BLM land in Quartzsite, Arizona. We were served a 5 star dinner consisting of David’s grilled chipotle turkey burgers and bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed, peppers (fancy poppers). Life was good in Quartzsite.

The next day we separated as we headed to the Redlands Truck and RV Repair Center. Our house received some excellent care during this stop. While they were working on the coach, Joan worked on her computer and Ken did some reading. We found an excellent 4.5 star Mexican restaurant called Oscar’s (19 N 5th Street, Redlands 909-792-8211) where we enjoyed some good cheese enchiladas and chili rellenos. Their chips and salsa were also delicious. Our house left Redlands with a new brake master cylinder, which included a complete change of brake fluid. The hydraulic fluid and filters were replaced along with an air conditioning hose and recharging of the air conditioning system. Lastly, they replaced a bracket that was holding the steering mechanism.
