Ventured out all on my own today !! Went really well until I made a wrong turn heading home About an hour later I finally found where I should be going and all was well ! quite proud of myself .Rome is a great city of contrasts Beautiful art Churches statues and stylish women . Love the paucity of advertising everywhere and the language .Amazing driving !!! Cars parked on crossings ,lots of dings evident . A great cacophony of sound , horns , sirens and verbal abuse .Masses of graffiti , dog poo and wafts of urine and Tour groups !!! Am having an amazing time . My pathetic attempts at speaking the language are treated kindly !

Off to Siena tomorrow on bus Our kindly BandB host will give us a picnic lunch .
