Travels with Clark and Reba travel blog

Days 148 - 149 of The Big Trip

On the 30th, we left Port Clinton, OH, and traveled along the shore of Lake Erie. It was a beautiful drive. We especially loved the little towns through which we passed. Almost all of them had the most beautiful grounds around their civic buildings. The flowers around the court house, in Sandusky, were especially beautiful and some were very unusual. We did get on the Interstate to go through Cleveland and then got back on the road closest to the lake shore until we turned south to go to Jefferson. This was our destination, because of the Thousand Trails Preserve located there. On the 31th, the four of us agreed that we would have a day at home. Sandi and I each spent a good part of our day making reservations for a few weeks ahead. There was enough to keep us busy without being tourists.
