Life Abroad travel blog

It has been a brilliant couple of days in Cape Town, though I am beginning to get a bit concerned about my imminent departure (only 8 days left). I had a minor melt down in the book store looking at pictures of South Africa...but I am sure seeing so many friends and family when I get back will make the transition a bit easier. Yesterday was absolutely freezing in the Cape, the sky opened up and the rain poured down and we actually go snow on Table Mountain!!! I got soaking wet and didn't really fancy the idea of staying on campus until Mat was ready to go home, so Charlie took me home and made me a nice cup of tea (he knows the way into my heart!!).

I have loved my time with the Lewis family; it is going to break my heart to leave them. Mat has become such an amazing friend and 'little brother' in the last several weeks. I am really going to miss our chats over tea. Hopefully he will be able to come visit the states soon. Speaking of visitors...Charlie, Jess and Jahni all are planning to come to the states for three months (Nov-Feb). I told my mom I would bring back souvenirs...I wonder if this is what she had in mind!?!?!

I hope all is well at home, I will try to get the rest of the pictures up soon!! How are you all doing?? I haven't heard from anyone in a while!!!

Cheers,

Sara
