Beautiful streams.

Time for a selfie!

Mossy lush forest.

Time for a break.

A camouflaged friend we met along the way.

How do I manage to get up there?

Rocky steps make it easier.

Almost at the top

Finally!

What a view!

Relaxing in the cool breeze at lunch.

Splendid views.

A supper fit for a king.

And a good cup of tea.

June 27

Ampersand mountain.

Today we decided to do a day hike up this mountain in the High Peaks Wilderness Area. The path traveled for a mile through lovely mossy forest and for the last mile up a gully along a steep mountain slope. At the top we emerged at a bald mountain top with 360 degree views of the lakes and forest below. The views and breeze were well worth the climb.

The swim in the Buck Pond was welcome at the end of this hot day!
