It was still overcast and threatening rain but we were able to take the gondola ride to the top of little whiteface to see the view from the ski lift and could see a fair distance. The gondola runs even in windy conditions - at the top it was cool and windy. There is a monument to the 10th mountain division at the top. We then went back to the base and saw people jumping onto an air pillow - it was free all day. We didn't opt to do it but it was very enteraining to watch as the lift went as high as 50 feet above the pillow and people jumped with arms waving instead of tucked as instructed. This is our last day - it was raining when we stopped at High Gorge so did not take the walk over that water fall either. We did check out the other part of our campground that is wooded and the KOA that is wooded. Even though we were packed in pretty tight we were glad that we didn't stay either of these places. Especially with all the rain it was good to be on a gravel pad.
