We arrive in the town of Amalfi by tender again today

The "Il Doumo" plaza is the focal point of the town

Arriving in Positano via scenic bus from Amalfi. Breathtaking scenery.

View from the ferry we took back to Amalfi

An afternoon Pizza and glass of wine in Amalfi while waiting for...

Anchored off the town of Analfi (where Bob has been wanting to go for years) and tendered into port. Took the 10:30 bus (a 45 minute trip) over to Positano. It was a beautiful drive along steep cliffs where houses cling to the sides of the hills. Walked from the top of Positano through the winding streets full of lovely shops down to the sea shore. Stopped and enjoyed a refreshing drink at a beachfront restaurant before boarding the fresh for the 20 minute ride back to Amalfi. The scenery was spectacular and it was a beautiful day. This coast is famous for being the home of the drink Lemoncello. This area became popular because it was a favorite spot of writers such as D.H. Lawrence, Virgina Wolff and John Steinbeck (coincidentally he wrote The Plumed Serpert while in Ajijic). Upon our return to Amalfi, we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant right at the bottom of the steps leading up to St. Andrews Cathedral (known as Il Duomo)

Reboarded the ship for our overnight trip to Civitavecchia/Rome.
