Overtaking a Pakistani truck

Quetta

It took several hours to cross the border. The Iranians seemed reluctant to see us go. There are just many formalities. The Pakistanis were very organised and, when all was finished, gave us a cup of tea.

The drive was spectacular through mountains and across desert. We had an interesting incident when a friend got stuck in the sand and one of the colourful Pakistani trucks towed him out. We arrived safely in Quetta rather late - the hotel is fantastic.
